SESE covers the subjects of History, Science and Geography. Many of the children are involved in the Green Schools Committee as part of the SESE curriculum. Pupils are busy all year round tending to the school garden, growing potatoes, vegetables and many varieties of flowers. Groups of children have visited local historical sites such as King John’s Castle, The Hunt Museum and The Treaty Stone.

Following the Primary School Curriculum the children learn about natural, Irish and World history. We follow a thematic approach to world history and encourage integration with other subjects o support a holistic approach.

The children enjoy learning about Science and its everyday relevance around us. They regularly conduct and complete experiments in class.

The children enjoy learning about natural processes, as well as political geography in Ireland, Europe and the World.
